Elevators
Six (6) passenger elevator cabs service all five floors of the building (3 office, 2 parking). The building has two (2) freight elevators that service four floors of the building (3 office, 1 loading dock level).
Freight Elevator Information
600 Steamboat Road is equipped with two freight elevators, one on either end of the building.
The South Freight Elevator will hold a maximum of 4500 pounds and measures 95 inches in height, 71.5 inches in length, and 70 inches in width. It may be used during normal, business hours, for normal small deliveries and courier services. After-hour use of the elevator should be scheduled with Building Management. The North Freight Elevator will hold a maximum of 4500 pounds and measures 95 inches in heights, 71.5 inches in length, and 70 inches in width. It may be used during normal, business hours, for normal small deliveries and courier services. After-hour use of the elevator (prior to 7:00 AM and after 6:30 PM) should be scheduled with Building Management. Loading Dock Information
Please do not block elevator doors open. If the doors are blocked, the elevator will shut down and will generate a service call to the elevator service company. If after hours, an emergency service call will result in a fee to the tenant (All elevator service calls go through security 203-489-2604).
If the tenant chooses, an elevator technician can be scheduled in advance to be on standby for emergency use during a tenant move or deliver. The tenant is responsible for the related fee.
The loading docks are open Friday 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM, excluding holidays. For deliveries prior to 7:00 AM, after 6:30 PM or for weekend use, please notify Building Management in writing at least 48 hours in advance. A fee for security personnel to operate the loading dock will be imposed for your after-hour requests.
Labor and equipment for loading and unloading must be supplied by the shipper.
No equipment shall be stored in any corridors or in any other area adjacent to the loading dock or freight elevators.
Shipments are subject to availability of the loading dock space and elevators on a first come, first serve basis unless reserved for special after-hours usage.
Under no circumstances shall a passenger elevator be used for moving unless authorized in writing by Building Management.
Loading Dock and Freight Elevator Dimensions
Freight Elevator Dimensions (North and South):
- Door width – 41 1/2 inches
- Door height – 84 inches high
- Car width – 70 inches wide
- Car Length – 71 1/2 inches long
- Car Height – 95 inches high
Loading Dock Dimensions (North and South):
- The loading dock's lowest point is 13'
- 25' foot box trucks or smaller are permitted
- The loading dock doors are a double door.
Please be advised all delivery trucks are required to use the loadings docks. Tractor trailers and sidewalk deliveries are NOT permitted.
